A bat roost being erected by New Horizon at Wylfa Power Station to provide roosts for the bats displaced from the properties they have demolished. |
Visual descriptions of the area around Wylfa, Anglesey, soon to be the site of Wylfa Newydd. What does this area look like now? Watch the changes as they happened. How will this area be changed by the new construction works? Will I still be in the area to see it all happen? The answer is now, no. House sold on 27th January 2016. How might this blog be continued? If you start a new one on Wylfa WalkerNewydd? please let me know and link to this one.

Bat House at Wylfa
New 'house' being built as a bat roost by New Horizon. This is required because of the number of properties they are demolishing in advance of putting in their planning application for their new power station. To prepare the site they had to cut down surrounding trees and bulldoze the former gardens of the two houses now boarded up.

New List of properties to be Demolished
Many more properties on land owned by New Horizon will be demolished over the coming weeks.
But they have panning permission to erect barn owl and bat roosting sites. Either new build or conversion of out buildings.
Good for the owls and bats, but why demolish when the proposed power station doesn't yet have a license to be built in the UK, and planning applications have not yet been submitted, let alone passed?
List of buildings to posted next.
