The old path had virtually been washed away at its base, leaving a 6 foot jump to the beach itself.
New path cut to beach at Porth yr Ogof, Wylfa Head. |
Visual descriptions of the area around Wylfa, Anglesey, soon to be the site of Wylfa Newydd. What does this area look like now? Watch the changes as they happened. How will this area be changed by the new construction works? Will I still be in the area to see it all happen? The answer is now, no. House sold on 27th January 2016. How might this blog be continued? If you start a new one on Wylfa WalkerNewydd? please let me know and link to this one.
Hi,
ReplyDeletedid you see that the stream appears to have collapsed the bank again. I was hoping this access might mean the rubbish would be cleared from the old lifeboat shed.
BTW, thanks for posting. good to keep in touch with what's happening :)
Sadly I believe the track is to enable a machine to get on the beach and demolish the lifeboat station.
ReplyDeleteThe collapsed path was cut back again on 22 April ready for the work to take place, along with the other 13 properties - having built two bat roosts for the displaced bats to fulfil planning and environmental regulations.
