The access track created to demolish the old lifeboat station is beginning to crumble already. A combination of being washed away from the high tide level, seeping ground water and an unstable angle of rest created by the piling up of loose clay. The construction material of the old lifeboat station was buried under the piled up soil and will soon be uncovered by natural erosion.
