How will this area be changed by the new construction works? Will I still be in the area to see it all happen? The answer is now, no. House sold on 27th January 2016. How might this blog be continued? If you start a new one on Wylfa WalkerNewydd? please let me know and link to this one.

How to Store Renewable Energy
Compilation report of different methods of storing renewable capacity. BBC Report, but also in other media. Battery technology improvements and non-polluting sources are being found.
"We are moving away from very large conventional power stations that produce electricity which is sent through the grid to consumers, to a system where power is produced in a much more distributed way," says IHS's Sam Wilkinson.

Storm Desmond
The forth named storm of the year. Desmond adds to wind damage and heavy rain and flooding.
No waves off Wylfa, as the storm is coming in from the south and the bay is sheltered, but you can hardly stand up on the Head itself!! Needless to say, no other walkers about this morning.

Archaeology Survey
Misty autumn morning, not a breath of wind, but lots of machines scraping turf to create trenches.
Survey teams in advance setting out flags to mark out the hundreds of trench positions across all fields. At least ten machines cutting perhaps 8 trenches each per day.

Observation on a Fence
Strange what effects a simple fence creates in the landscape.
The insertion of this fence to prevent access to the nature reserve was seen earlier this year.
Already a strip of longer dried grasses and seed heads have been created by the grass cutters keeping clear of the fence, and the cows grazing the other side, and walking up and down the fence have created their own path.
Google maps doesn't yet record the erection of the fences.
