Proposed New Power Station named - Wylfa Newydd

The proposed new power station was given an official name this week. They obviously don't like it being called Wylfa 'B'. Possibly because it will have nothing to to with the first Wylfa station. Different design, different owners and constructors.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-north-west-wales-24955867

The BBC report states 'it is hoped that the new station will boost the Island's economy'. Not a great endorsement there then!

Also the proposal is now for two reactors, not three as was originally suggested.
The formal consultation will begin in 2014.

I'm not sure that the reactors have an operating license to be used in the UK yet?

At least the photo used by BBC news was up to date. It showed the recent drilling site with the old Wylfa site in the back ground. The rig is no longer there, but a white Land Rover is. Lets hope the guys building the new site are better at that than driving across wet fields - this Land Rover has been stuck in the mud for two days now.
