Old Gate at Wylfa Head

This old gate at the site of one of the Wylfa Houses demolished for the first power station still survives in the undergrowth.Just by the coastal footpath to Wylfa Head by the car park.

Spot the Fishermen

Spot the two fishermen on the rocks this morning.
Fishing at the edge of Wylfa Power Station where the cooling waters and the water treatment plant discharge out to sea. The water is warmer here. Fish get taken back across the country from here, reputably to be found on the plates of restaurants.

Hay for Sheep

New bales delivered for the sheep at Wylfa Head. AS we head out of winter and towards lambing time the grass is in short supply, even though the weather has not been too cold.

Weir at Cemlyn

This weir regulates the height of the water in the fresh water lake, behind the shingle bank at Cemlyn. It helps to regulate the water around the tern nesting site. The large wall is the house Bryn Arber.
