Archaeology survey works began this week. Lots of trenches being cut by machine across all fields. Some local footpaths have been closed while the works are undertaken.

Observation on a Fence

Strange what effects a simple fence creates in the landscape.
The insertion of this fence to prevent access to the nature reserve was seen earlier this year.
Already a strip of longer dried grasses and seed heads have been created by the grass cutters keeping clear of the fence, and the cows grazing the other side, and walking up and down the fence have created their own path.
Google maps doesn't yet record the erection of the fences.

The swallows have all left, starlings now starting to gather together.

Autumn Berries

Autumn is here, but feeling more like the summer we didn't have, calm, warm, sunny.
Good for autumn colour.
