Schematic from Horizon web site and Literature

This schematic by Horizon puts a suggested layout for the two new reactors over the top of the current landscape. Its not that detailed and the image is a flat one that doesn't conform with the contours or give any idea of how high the structures are. Or how they will be seen from the surrounding landscape. If they are tall, but in a depression then they wont be seen. If they are small, but on a crest they will be seen for miles.
Perhaps there will be more detailed views at the public information days, the first for immediate local people is today, for wider locals there is one tomorrow at Cemaes Village Hall.

Horizon Supply Chain Meeting in Llandudno - Not on Anglesey

The following is part of a call for potential supplier to attend a presentation about how to bid for work. But the meeting for the Wylfa site is not on Anglesey but is to held in Llandudno.  So no money being put into conference venues local to the Wylfa site then. Not much opportunity to maximize opportunity locally then even at this early stage! Meeting date 21 may - but places said to be limited, but no mention of to how many though.

Extract from Notice of meeting -

Horizon Nuclear Power is bringing forward plans to develop a new generation of nuclear power stations and has two proposed sites – Wylfa, on the Isle of Anglesey and Oldbury, in South Gloucestershire. These projects represent a business opportunity for companies across the UK. Horizon and Hitachi-GE Nuclear Energy (HGNE) will work to maximise opportunities for involvement in our projects for local, regional and national companies.
