With high tides sea water flows back into the lagoon behind the shingle bank at Cemlyn.
Visual descriptions of the area around Wylfa, Anglesey, soon to be the site of Wylfa Newydd. What does this area look like now? Watch the changes as they happened. How will this area be changed by the new construction works? Will I still be in the area to see it all happen? The answer is now, no. House sold on 27th January 2016. How might this blog be continued? If you start a new one on Wylfa WalkerNewydd? please let me know and link to this one.

No Cars Beyond This Point
Some people just can't walk anywhere.
Just have to get as close to where they want to go as possible.

Bright Day at Cemlyn
A really nice bright spring day walking west from Cemlyn.
Passing swallows heading east and north along the coast, meadow pipits and terns returning fo rthe summer.

Drone over Cemlyn
The Guardian newspaper reported concerns in France about drones flying over nuclear power stations.
Someone was flying one over Cemlyn this afternoon.
These are becoming popular. Cadw are posting videos they have taken over Welsh castles and monuments.
But they are a bit intrusive and certainly frightened away birds in the area this afternoon. Not the quiet walk expected either with the constant buzzing noise up in the air.
What are the flight regulations about flights over nuclear power stations in the UK?

Ancient Trees at Cemlyn
The recent storms and low tides have revealed ancient trees and peat beds at the bottom of the beach at Cemlyn. Apparently these haven't been seen as well as this for over 10 years.
